Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Journeyman Engineer to support the Advanced Systems Team at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. This on-site role involves cradle-to-grave life cycle support for F/A-18 and EA-18G programs, with six annual trips.

The engineer will apply engineering principles to analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems, and prepare technical analyses and documentation for DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant engineering experience, three with DoD.
• Experience delivering results on multi-level security projects.
• Direct defense/aerospace/government program experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Prepare engineering analyses, reports, proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Apply systems engineering for integration, configuration management, QA testing, or resource management.
• Analyze and implement software or system components related to military requirements.
