Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support the PMX-201 office at NAS Patuxent River. The role focuses on Harpoon weapon systems within an Accelerated Critical Defense Capability, on-site in Hollywood, MD with situational telework and roughly 20% travel.

Required BA/BS in a technical field, 3+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of DoD acquisition processes. Active DoD clearance or ability to obtain, and US citizenship, are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of recent and relevant engineering experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and DoD acquisition processes.
• Strong ordnance/background in weapons systems is desirable.
• US Citizen with active DoD clearance (Secret or higher) preferred.
• Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or government programmatic settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills for working with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficient in the MS Office 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify, formulate, design, and test practical engineering solutions.
• Review technical drawings and docs for ECNs, RFVs, and ECPs paperwork.
• Track and validate requirements.
• Manage risks using appropriate tools.
• Perform configuration management and support system development.
• Contribute to technical documentation and compliance with standards.
