Job summary

Salesforce's Public Sector team seeks a Solution Engineer to engage DoW program offices and defense contractors, designing cloud solutions and running POCs. You’ll translate mission needs into Salesforce-enabled architectures, including Agentforce and Data Cloud, while ensuring security and compliance posture.

With 7+ years in enterprise SaaS or CRM, you’ll lead technical discovery, prototype agentic workflows, and contribute to RFI/RFP responses. U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for a CRM, enterprise SaaS, or mission IT company with DoD or defense contractor customers preferred.
• Hands-on Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform builder: prototype agentic workflows and data pipelines from scratch.
• Practical AI fluency: working knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, and agentic system design for DoD environments.
• Deep discovery and MVP scoping: run technical and business discovery, define use cases, and produce architecture and activation plan.
• Familiarity with DoW compliance frameworks and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with DoW customers to understand mission requirements and technical environment.
• Map requirements to Salesforce portfolio and design tailored demos and POCs.
• Architect and prototype Agentforce solutions for DoW environments with governance and security considerations.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical content and architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Capture Managers in a team-selling setting.
