RTX is seeking a software engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team within the Hardware Discipline Center. You will design and build software that interfaces with engineering hardware to support the product lifecycle from lab demos to production testing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, state-of-the-art tooling, and rigorous verification. Candidates should have a STEM degree and hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and Windows IDEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline required by start date.
• Experience developing, testing, or integrating software in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Python or VB/VBA/.NET.
• Experience building Windows-based software with Visual Studio IDE.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and integrate object‑oriented software and test software for Windows platforms.
• Derive system-level software requirements, specifications, and architecture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for rigorous test accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate tools with hardware.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and defect resolution.
• Work within Agile and Waterfall lifecycles.
