Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas invites students to join a 10-week summer Internship as a Project Manager for Defense programs. You will work with the Product/Program Manager and Director, assist with proposals, statements of work, and cost estimates while coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

This hands-on role includes mentorship, training, and real project work to build confidence and skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer experience required.
• Outstanding computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Learn interface with customers, subcontractors, and supplier counterparts regarding project daily basis.
• Assist planning and execution of project(s) according to milestones and schedule to meet contract obligations.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
• Prepare labor and material bid estimates for project execution.
• Assist with project cost versus budget and be accountable for project profit/loss.
