Textron is offering a 2027 Defense and Special Missions Mechanical Systems Engineer internship in Wichita, KS. You will work on aircraft systems such as Environmental Control, Landing Gear, Hydraulics, Ice Protection, and Flight Controls, gaining hands-on experience with CATIA V5 and 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related technical degree.
• Knowledge of FAA and/or Military processes beneficial.
• Experience with CATIA V5 preferred and CAD design experience.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate designs using CATIA V5 for modeling and drafting.
• Develop 3D models to support detail, assembly and installation drawings.
• Support prototype build and testing; set up laboratory simulations.
• Assist in creating test plans and reports.
• Create presentations to convey test results, design issues or trade studies.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling and Publications.
