Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive the execution of our Indirect Fire Protection/Force Protection portfolio. You will interface with customers, shape proposals, and ensure alignment with mission objectives and financial targets across engineering, contracts, growth, and supply chain.

The role requires senior-level program leadership, strong communication, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, business, or equivalent; 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 10+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated leadership supervising or guiding teams or projects (7+ years).
• Experience building strategic relationships with internal/external customers.
• Experience leading hardware/software development teams.
• Twelve+ years of cross-disciplinary team leadership in engineering, technicians, and customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead program teams through status meetings, provide guidance, and resolve issues.
• Interface with customers to build relationships and drive future opportunities.
• Contribute business expertise to proposals aligning with mission, finances, and strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align and execute program goals.
• Deliver solutions for deficiencies in portfolio planning and execution.
• Champion continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.
