Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a mechanical engineer to contribute across the full product lifecycle for defense systems. You will design, model, and document components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware solutions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in STEM and hands-on CAD experience, with occasional CONUS travel. Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start, and relocation is eligible.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM required by start date.
• Experience using parametric 3D CAD software to create 3D models and drawings.
• Experience in mechanical design from coursework, projects or competitions.
• Experience may be gained through various pathways including on-the-job work.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, document mechanical components and assemblies per defense requirements.
• Create and manage 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Validate designs via rapid prototyping, testing, and simulations.
• Support manufacturing, integration facilities, and suppliers.
• Participate in design reviews and trade studies.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve issues.
