Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an AE Defense Life Cycle Engineer to provide reactive technical support for in-service events and proactive analysis to prevent future customer disruptions. You will lead cross-functional teams to determine root causes using propulsion knowledge and data analytics.

The role involves engaging with customers, driving corrective actions, and contributing to safety reviews. It is a hybrid position in Indianapolis with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 1+ years of experience or Master's degree in STEM
• JD/PhD may be considered
• U.S. Citizen required

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand how Rolls-Royce products are used in service and devise technical solutions
• Lead internal activities to resolve OEM, AMC, operator or FSR technical inquiries
• Lead investigations and identify root cause and corrective action for in-service events
• Support field control programs addressing safety concerns
• Participate in product level safety boards and in-service reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities
• Initiate changes to technical publications associated with in-service hardware maintenance
