Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics or Math with 2+ years of Thermodynamics or Aerodynamics.
- Master of Science in Engineering, Physics or Math.
- US citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and simulate gas turbine components and subsystems using meanline, throughflow, and CFD.
- Define and interpret subsystem requirements and issue performance maps and bids.
- Collaborate with aeromechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical design teams on aerodynamic interfaces.
- Plan and execute component and subsystem rig tests for development programs.
- Assemble and report CFD simulations, experimental results, and first-principles analyses against requirements.
- Support wider aerodynamics with capability acquisition via methods, coding, and technology plans.
- Drive continuous improvement through best practices and process automation.
