nLIGHT, headquartered in Camas, Washington, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for Defense to partner with executive management and drive growth and profitability in the defense business group within a complex manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes strong judgment, leadership, and collaboration across accounting, operations, government contracts, and finance-focused teams. In-office position with relocation allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a Corporate Finance or Program Control organization supporting Government Programs.
• Power user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with EVMS, Forecasting, and ERP systems.
• Ability to organize and complete multiple high-priority projects on schedule.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and strong judgement.
• Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate complex information to management.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnering – Support contract proposals and performance.
• Reporting – Develop insightful reports for monthly/quarterly/annual results and forecast and support portfolio of programs.
• Forecasting – Coordinate rolling forecast and planning scenarios using FP&A and EVMS tools.
• Financial Reporting Support – Review accounting packages to ensure accuracy and explain trends and variances.
• Compliance Support – Support FAR compliance, external audits, and reviews.
• Lead and participate on cross-functional teams to improve reporting and processes.
