nLIGHT, Inc. in Camas, WA, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Defense to partner with executive management and drive profitability for the defense business group in a complex manufacturing environment.

This role requires high professional values, sound judgment, and strong leadership to support growth. You will partner cross-functionally on contract proposals, develop insightful reporting, coordinate rolling forecasts with FP&A and EVMS tools, and ensure FAR compliance with audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
• 6+ years of experience in corporate finance or program control for government programs.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with EVMS, forecasting and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.
• Strong judgement and analytical skills.
• Effective communication of complex information to management.
• Creative, tenacious problem-solver.
• FAR/CAS knowledge (preferred).
• Experience supporting government programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Partner with management to support contract proposals and performance.
• Develop reporting and processes to improve decision-making.
• Create reports for monthly/quarterly/annual results and forecast.
• Coordinate rolling forecast using FP&A and EVMS tools.
• Review accounting packages for accuracy and explain trends.
• Support FAR compliance and external audits; protect sensitive information.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve reporting and processes.
