Job summary

AeroVironment’s LEAP group within the MacCready Works division seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to advance computer vision capabilities for defense and commercial applications. You will work across data management, ML, and CV disciplines, from requirements to validation, with on-site support for experiments and fielded systems.

The role requires 2+ years in ML/CV, Python and C/C++, PyTorch, Linux, and NVIDIA tools, plus willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Physics or related discipline with 2+ years of ML/CV experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer vision and ML algorithms for real-time ATR on various sensor platforms.
• Perform data science tasks to inform data collection, labeling, and training.
• Train models and validate data representations and algorithms.
• Write and test software to integrate ML into aircraft or other systems.
• Travel for on-site experimentation and fielded systems as needed.
