Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Principal Sales Executive to build the AWS Cloud Computing business for the United States Department of War. You will shape a partner-driven strategy, engage with DoW customers, SI partners, and solution providers to modernize and transform enterprise and mission systems with cloud-based capabilities.

You will need deep AWS and DoD domain knowledge, strong relationship-building skills with senior military and civilian leaders, and the ability to travel to meet

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT sales experience.
• 10+ years of technology sales experience.
• Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals.
• Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives or communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or above, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ years working with Systems Integrators and/or technology partners supporting the DoW.
• 10+ years experience working with Federal Systems Integrators and Business Partners supporting the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Develop a growing book of business in the Department of War sales team.
• Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities.
• Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the AWS partner community.
• Interact with key strategic partners, DIB partners and emerging tech partners on a day-to-day basis.
• Engage with senior military and civilian levels and interact with contractors, software developers, and architects.
• Think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges and convey compelling value propositions.
• Identify key growth strategies across the Defense and Intelligence business areas.
• Travel as necessary.
