Job summary

The role requires deep DoD experience, strong connections with senior officials, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-velocity startup context. Remote work is possible (DC area preferred) with occasional travel to HQ in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading business development, acquisitions, or capture teams for tech capabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant DoD programs, platforms, and enabling technologies.
• Ability to build relationships with senior DoD officials and program stakeholders.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for senior executives and customers.
• Leadership that fosters trust, customer focus, innovation, and speed across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, acquisitions, and capture efforts for defense tech capabilities.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with senior DoD officials and program offices.
• Shape the company’s strategic direction and contribute to a product/organization’s path to a program of record.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and G&A in a fast-paced startup environment.
