What We Do

The Default Claims Manager oversees activities related to claim filing, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company guidelines. This role involves monitoring claim timelines and workflows, managing files according to established goals, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure mortgage accounts are serviced to comply with all applicable laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines. This includes:
  • Monitoring all loans in the claims queue to meet milestones.
  • Completing claim activities by coordinating with attorneys, investors, insurers, and other involved parties.
  • Auditing claims to identify trends or risks.
  • Maintaining quality assurance metrics.
  • Recommending process improvements to management.
  • Adhering strictly to departmental and business policies.
  • Prioritizing work to ensure timely, accurate resolutions.
  • Staying informed about regulatory and legal changes impacting claims.
  • Monitoring vendor performance and system activities throughout the default process.
  • Following up on requests and communications with internal and external partners.
  • Managing exception reports to minimize risk.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of Default Liquidation Claim experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive management experience.
  • Ability to lead projects and develop scalable processes.
  • GSE and government claim experience.
  • Experience with ICE technology, MSP, and LoanSphere Claims.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Independent work ethic and task completion skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including coaching and motivating staff.

Salary Range: $75,375 - $100,475 annually

This range is an estimate at the time of posting; actual pay depends on experience, skills, and location.
