What We Do

The Default Claims Manager monitors and completes activities related to claim filing, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company guidelines. This role involves managing claims timelines and workflow processes, adhering to established work rules and goals to improve performance. The candidate will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

  1. Ensure mortgage accounts are serviced to comply with all relevant laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines, including monitoring claims milestones and activities.
  2. Coordinate with attorneys, investors, insurers, and other parties involved in claims processes.
  3. Audit claims, identify trends or risks, and ensure quality assurance metrics are met.
  4. Recommend process improvements to management to minimize risks.
  5. Follow departmental policies and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  6. Stay updated on regulatory and legal changes affecting claims.
  7. Monitor vendor performance and system activities related to the default process.
  8. Follow up diligently on requests and communications from internal and external partners.
  9. Manage exception reporting as a key control to minimize risk.

What You'll Bring

  1. 5+ years of Default Liquidation Claim experience.
  2. 3+ years of progressive management experience.
  3. Ability to lead projects and develop scalable processes.
  4. Experience with GSE and government claims.
  5. Familiarity with ICE technology, MSP, and LoanSphere Claims.
  6. Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  7. High attention to detail and adherence to guidelines.
  8. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
  9. Independent work ethic and effective communication skills, including coaching and motivating staff.

Salary Range: $75,375 - $100,475 annually. This range reflects the estimated base pay at posting and may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
