What We Do

The Default Claims Manager monitors and completes all activities related to claim filing in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and company guidelines. This role involves managing claims timelines and workflow processes to improve performance, while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and unwavering customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure mortgage accounts are serviced in compliance with all applicable laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines, including monitoring claims milestones and activities.
  • Interact with attorneys, investors, insurers, and other parties involved in claims processes to facilitate claim filing and activities.
  • Monitor and audit claims to identify trends or risks, ensuring quality assurance metrics are met.
  • Recommend process improvements to management to minimize risk exposure.
  • Adhere strictly to departmental and business policies.
  • Prioritize work to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims.
  • Stay current with regulatory and legal changes impacting claims processes.
  • Review vendor performance and monitor proceedings, records, and timeframes throughout the default process.
  • Follow up diligently on outstanding requests from internal and external partners.
  • Manage exception reporting as a key control for risk minimization.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of Default Liquidation Claim experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive management experience.
  • Ability to lead projects and develop scalable, effective processes.
  • Experience with GSE and government claims.
  • ICE technology experience, including MSP and LoanSphere Claims.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
  • Extreme attention to detail and adherence to guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Independent work ethic and commitment to completing assignments.
  • Strong communication skills, including coaching and leadership abilities.

Salary Range: $75,375 - $100,475 annually

This range is an estimate at the time of posting and varies based on experience, skills, and location.
