Job summary

Summit Public Schools seeks a Science Teacher for SY26-27 to join a mission-driven network in the Bay Area. You will mentor the same group of students, lead advisory sessions, and guide project-based learning across high school and middle school projects.

You will contribute to a culture focused on DEIB, continuous improvement, and collaboration, with a comprehensive benefits package and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid California teaching credential or equivalent US credential.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education preferred.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

Responsibilities

• See sample teacher schedules and daily block times (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on workdays).
• Teach high school Project Time blocks (90 minutes) or middle school blocks (4×55 minutes).
• Coach students through advisory groups and mentor times daily.
• Facilitate Self-Directed Learning time and interventions.
• Participate in twice-weekly all-faculty after-school meetings for collaboration and PD.
