Job summary

Summit Public Schools in California is seeking an English Teacher for SY26-27 to join a mission-driven network committed to preparing students for purposeful futures. At Summit, teachers mentor the same group of students each year, lead project-based learning during Project Time, and collaborate with colleagues through regular professional development and after-school meetings.

The role emphasizes culturally responsive teaching, DEIB, and equity.

Qualifications

• Teaching Credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Clear health and background check.
• Teaching experience in your subject is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in Summit’s advisory and project-based model.
• Deliver 90‑minute blocks or four 55‑minute blocks during Project Time.
• Mentor a small group of students daily and support their goals.
• Analyze student progress data to inform lesson planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues through after-school meetings and professional development.
