Job summary

Summit Public Schools in California is hiring a dedicated educator to lead project-based learning within our distinctive advisory model. You will mentor a consistent group of students, guide them through 90-minute project time blocks, and foster deep learning through real-world applications.

Ideal candidates hold a California teaching credential, a Bachelor’s degree, and ideally a Master’s in Education. Strong collaboration, DEIB commitment, and a passion for equity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Teaching Credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Education preferred).
• Teaching experience in your subject is preferred, but not required.
• Clear health and background check.
• Strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).

Responsibilities

• Teach high school and middle school project-based learning within Summit’s model.
• Facilitate Project Time blocks and mentor student groups daily.
• Build lesson plans from student progress data and coach for growth.
• Participate in twice-weekly all-faculty meetings and professional development.
• Support diverse learners and foster an equitable, rigorous learning environment.
