Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations, focusing on safety, quality, and schedule for deep foundation projects through drilled shafts, piles and soil improvements.

You will guide crews, coordinate with field engineering and subcontractors, and drive on-time performance across diverse sites. The role requires extensive hands-on expertise, strong communication, and the ability to train and develop field personnel while adhering to company policies and safety

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling and management of deep foundation/ground improvement operations.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience as a superintendent.
• Experience with foundation/ground improvement equipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants) and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of pumping and placement of concrete and grout.
• Skilled in one or more disciplines (pile driving, auger cast, small diameter shafts, micro piles).
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn Kiewit’s policies, procedures and software programs.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of ground improvement techniques and deep foundation methods, including SOE.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory direction of craft workers, managing productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence for deep foundation projects.
• Liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure drawings and specs compliance.
• Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors and staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances and scheduling difficulties.
• Assist in schedule planning, determining labor levels, material quantities and equipment needs.
• Ensure safety, attendance and workplace behavior policies are followed.
