Job summary

Werner Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Dedicated Logistics Manager to own accountability for the account’s profitability through daily operations including driver management, load planning, and all customer service activities required for satisfaction.

Responsibilities include supervising office staff and drivers, driving profitability and growth, optimizing asset use, and maintaining safety with cross-department coordination and strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Management, or Transportation/Logistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to three years customer service experience preferred.
• Two to three years transportation experience preferred.
• One to two years AS400 and PC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall account management of key factors such as account profitability, revenue generation, invoicing, personnel management, driver turnover, fleet sizing, load planning, and direct/onsite customer interaction.
• Daily supervision of office personnel (0-10 employees) and drivers (1-200 employees) assigned to the account.
• Focus on driver training and retention, profitability, idle reduction and mpg improvement strategies.
• Promote safety and collaborate with multiple departments to meet KPIs and regulatory requirements.
