Job summary

Floor & Decor in Greensboro, NC seeks a trainer of Product Sales Specialists to ensure customers have a positive shopping experience with expert product information and service. The role emphasizes teaching the basic P’s of retail, directing staff, and maintaining accurate merchandising and pricing.

You will conduct product specialist trainings, manage certifications, and support showroom floor operations while upholding company values and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in line with the company’s core values.
• Ensure safe lifting practices.
• Teach and drive the basic P’s of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing).
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for high-quality customer service.
• Complete product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation thoroughly.
• Maintain department merchandising, pricing and organization.
• Communicate SOPs to associates promptly.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Assist in processing merchandise to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing.
• Greet customers politely and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process customers at checkout using POS and handle refunds/exchanges per guidelines.
• Present 'how-to' classes to customers.
• Follow cash, check and card procedures; answer phones per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
