Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking aisle-educating Product Sales Specialist Trainer to develop and coach product sales specialists while ensuring customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information. You will drive the company philosophy of the basic P’s of retail and oversee merchandising, pricing and department organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in line with the company’s core values.
• Ensure safe lifting practices and SOPs are followed.
• Teach the basic P’s of retail to product sales specialists (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing).
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for high-quality customer service.
• Complete product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation.
• Maintain department merchandising, pricing and organization.
• Communicate SOP changes to all associates promptly.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Direct merchandise processing to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process transactions at checkout and handle refunds/exchanges.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Follow cash/check/credit procedures.
• Answer phones per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
