Job summary

The CPCperforms is seeking a Deckhand aboard the Range-Support Craft (RSC) to support safe vessel operations at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego, CA. You will assist on deck, handle lines, and help maintain readiness under the vessel Master, complying with USCG, Navy, and company standards.

Requirements include USCG AB Seaman MMC, TWIC, SECRET DoD clearance, high school diploma, and at least 2 years as AB with DoD/government experience preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• USCG Able Bodied (AB) Seaman MMC required.
• Must pass medical background exam for handling ordnance.
• Valid TWIC and MMC with applicable endorsements.
• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as AB; government or DoD ops experience preferred.
• Experience operating vessels in military or scientific missions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe operation, maintenance, and cleaning of vessel decks, equipment, and machinery.
• Handle mooring lines, fenders, and towing gear during docking and undocking.
• Support loading, offloading, and securing cargo, equipment, and supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections, report deficiencies, and follow safety and operational protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the ship.
