Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Deckhand to maintain the vessel’s cleanliness and appearance, ensuring guest comfort and safety while underway. You will assist with docking and undocking, handle lines, stand lookout, and help with equipment maintenance.

A RESPECT service culture guides guest interactions, and candidates must be able to work on a Coast Guard-inspected passenger vessel. Responsibilities include safety drills, routine cleaning, restroom service, and flexible scheduling

Qualifications

High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
Must be able to reliably commute to the dock for schedule shifts.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing are required.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers per RESPECT system.
Follow safety procedures to protect passengers and vessel.
Participate in routine safety drills for major incidents.
Handle lines to moor vessels to pier.
Stand watch for obstructions and navigational aids.
Assist Captain and supervisors with vessel equipment and systems (HVAC, engine).
Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas.
Sweep, mop, and wash decks and exteriors to remove dirt and debris.
Load/unload materials, gather and remove trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Be prepared to begin work at scheduled times.
Maintain uniform and grooming per appearance standards.
