Job summary

American Cruise Lines is hiring Deckhands for the 2026 season. Work on our ships to ensure a safe and seamless voyage, representing the brand. This temporary, 28-week onboard position includes meals, lodging, uniforms, and training, with wages ranging from $1,000 to $1,400 per week plus bonuses.

You’ll perform daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and guest assistance while rotating through 12-hour day/night schedules. Must be 18+, U.S.

Qualifications

• At least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances.
• Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited aboard ship.
• Grooming standards with limitations on tattoos and piercings.
• This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors and marine equipment under captain and mate guidance.
• Perform daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and logistic support; assist helm watches.
• Stand gangway and deck watches including security and passenger assistance.
• Load/unload guest luggage and ship stores; manage daily logistics tasks.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, furnishings, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry and fold ship laundry; maintain grooming and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew; rotate through day-night schedules ~12 hours.
