American Cruise Lines is hiring Deckhands for the 2026 season to work aboard our ships and ensure safe, seamless voyages for guests. This temporary position runs for up to 28 weeks with duties including line handling, deck watches, and guest assistance.

Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with bonuses, and major living expenses are covered aboard. This is an introductory role into the cruise industry with travel, room and board, uniforms, and training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required by federal law.
• Grooming standards apply; temporary 28-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment under Captain and Mate guidance.
• Perform daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and logistic support; stand helm watches.
• Stand gangway and deck watches for security, maintenance, and passenger assistance.
• Load/unload guest luggage, ship stores, and daily logistics tasks.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold ship laundry.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew; rotate through day/night duties (~12-hour shifts).
