American Cruise Lines is seeking Deckhands for the 2026 season to work aboard our vessels and ensure a safe, seamless voyage for guests. This temporary, full-time role spans up to 28 weeks with competitive weekly pay and bonuses.

Employees enjoy travel opportunities across 50 itineraries and 35 states, with accommodations, meals, uniforms, and training provided by the company to support a successful start in the cruise industry.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• U.S. citizen or Green Card holder for employment eligibility.
• Pre-employment drug testing of all shipboard employees required.
• Ability to meet grooming standards including limits on tattoos and piercings.
• Temporary 28-week shipboard employment with no guaranteed extension.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment under supervision.
• Assist Captain and Mate with exterior cleaning and logistics tasks.
• Stand gangway and deck watches for security and passenger assistance.
• Load and unload guest luggage, ship stores, and daily supplies.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold ship laundry as part of onboard duties.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew as needed.
• Rotate through day-night watch and 12-hour daily schedules.
