Job summary

PRA Group is seeking a customer-focused collections professional to work with clients in developing affordable payment plans and ensuring compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, and related regulations.

The role involves updating customer information, handling disputes, and coordinating communications to notify of transfers, settlements, and required documentation while maintaining the company’s commitment to compliance and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of recent, consecutive work history and/or employment preferred.
• Familiarity with the FDCPA, FCRA and related laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Works with customer to create affordable plans.
• Requests debit or ACH information to secure plans.
• Modifies plans as requested by customers.
• Takes appropriate action if customer disputes the account(s).
• Notes hardship cues in conversations and updates account accordingly.
• Updates customer account information (telephone, mobile, address, email).
• Requests letters to notify of transfer, encourage payment or confirm settlements.
• Records information about financial status and collection efforts in the system.
• Reviews correspondence and documents pertaining to the account.
• Establishes payment schedules and may grant extensions or suspensions.
• Settles accounts within authorized limits or seeks supervisor approval.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
• Completes required compliance training.
• Provides signoffs for payment plans established by peers.
• Provides onboarding mentoring and sharing best practices.
