Job summary

The Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA is seeking an Account Resolution Specialist in Independence Township, OH to notify and locate consumers with delinquent accounts and attempt payment under FDCPA rules and client standards.

You will mail letters, speak with consumers by phone, negotiate payment arrangements, and document status in our systems. Regular attendance and compliance training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in hospitality, customer service, call center or sales preferred.
• Accurate typing and data entry skills.
• Targets met with 85%+ of monthly revenue goals.
• Basic computer operation and internet research knowledge.
• Good written and verbal communication; maintains composure.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Notify and locate consumers with delinquent accounts and encourage payment per FDCPA and client standards.
• Confer with consumers by telephone to resolve overdue payments.
• Calculate payment arrangements and negotiate settlements with possible supervisor approval.
• Document financial status and update account notes.
• Contact consumers, representatives, attorneys, and courts for updates and information.
• Handle debit/check payments by phone and locate consumer assets.
• Use public records and directories to locate consumers and assets.
• Decide next activity on file and monitor for required documents.
• Ensure options are utilized to achieve payment and meet daily goals.
• Adhere to required training and maintain professional conduct.
