Job summary

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader seeks an experienced attorney to coordinate cross-office debt financing representations for both domestic and international matters. You will lead diverse client teams across the firm and manage complex negotiations in sophisticated lending transactions.

The role focuses on representing real estate investment trusts, private equity sponsors, strategics, credit funds, and sovereign borrowers in loan financing, asset-based lending, and debt-for-nature initiatives,

Qualifications

• Five+ years handling REIT loan financing domestically and internationally.
• Experience with private equity sponsors, strategics, and credit funds in acquisition financing and asset-based lending.
• Three+ years representing sovereign debtors in bank/acquisition financings and debt-for-nature deals; issuers in preferred equity.

Overview

• Manage cross-office teams and coordinate representation in domestic and international debt financing transactions.
• Represent public and private corporations, private equity firms, commercial banks, strategics, credit funds (including private credit funds), other direct lenders, real estate investment trusts, sovereign countries, and alternative credit providers.
• Required experience includes at least five years representing real estate investment trusts in domestic and international loan financing; private equity sponsors, strategics, and credit funds in large cap and middle market acquisition financing and asset-based lending; and private credit funds and direct lenders in loan financing, including workouts and restructurings.
• Also requires at least three years of experience representing sovereign debtors in bank financings, acquisition financings, and debt for nature-swap transactions (including conservation agreements), and issuers in preferred equity financing structures.
