Job summary

El Camino College invites applications for the Dean of Counseling and Student Success. The role provides visionary leadership for the division, supervising faculty and staff, and aligning programs with the college's strategic plan to improve student equity and success.

Responsibilities include program evaluation, budgeting, governance participation, and collaboration with campus leadership to advance student retention and completion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• One year of leadership experience in an administrative role.
• Desirable: master's degree in counseling or related field.
• Three years of administrative experience in student counseling or planning programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the Counseling and Student Success Division's operations and activities.
• Provide leadership to develop, evaluate, and improve division programs and services.
• Collaborate with campus leadership, staff, and faculty on equity, onboarding, enrollment, retention and completion goals.
• Maintain a student-centered, customer-service oriented environment across the college.
• Oversee program reviews and Service Area Outcomes assessments for institutional effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Title 5 and other regulations in policies and practices.
