Job summary

Lone Star College-Online seeks a Dean of Student Success to lead design and delivery of holistic online student services, including advising, tutoring, and completion support. The role centers on equity, data literacy, and adult learner needs.

The Dean will drive Credit Momentum, Velocity Term, and co-curricular support, ensuring proactive services for online students and alignment with institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; seven+ years related experience; three+ years in a management role.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning experience in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student success model for LSC-Online.
• Develop and execute data-informed early alert and intervention strategies.
• Direct Velocity Compact initiative to optimize financial aid strategies and enrollment.
• Oversee Velocity Term and accelerated program student support framework.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of advisors, coaches, and tutors.
• Implement proactive, intrusive advising for online, asynchronous learners.
• Design and manage stop-out recovery programs to re-engage returning students.
• Partner with Academic Affairs to develop degree maps and guided pathways.
• Collaborate with CAIO and Enrollment leadership to align programs with strategic goals.
• Produce regular retention and completion reports for leaders.
