Job summary

INFINITI OF NOVI is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Controller to lead dealership accounting and daily business office operations in Novi, MI. The role requires hands-on management of financial records, monthly close, staff supervision, and clear financial reporting for ownership.

Qualified candidates will have prior automotive dealership accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Tekion DMS and CVR workflows.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership experience as an Office Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
• Strong knowledge of dealership accounting, financial statements, floorplan reconciliation, and month-end closing.
• Experience managing accounting staff and business office operations.
• Experience with Tekion DMS preferred.
• Familiarity with CVR and dealership title and registration workflows preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Accounting education preferred; substantial dealership accounting experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and business office operations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, deal posting, payroll coordination, and general ledger activity.
• Reconcile bank accounts, floorplan accounts, vehicle inventory, and balance sheet schedules.
• Review contracts in transit, funding delays, receivables, and outstanding balances.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and complete month-end and year-end closing.
• Oversee title and registration workflows.
• Maintain internal controls and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Supervise and train office staff, assign responsibilities, and maintain accountability.
• Coordinate with ownership, outside accountants, lenders, and vendors.
• Monitor cash flow and expenses.
