Planet Honda, powered by Lithia & Driveway, is seeking an Accounting Processing Centers – Dealership Accountant I to support dealership finance operations on-site in Union, NJ. You will report to the Business Manager and collaborate with other accountants to ensure accurate posting and timely processing of contracts and invoices.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to COA and internal controls, and professional communication with colleagues and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year accounting experience with COA, debits and credits.
• Entry to mid-level Excel skills.
• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years of Auto Industry Experience.

Responsibilities

• Submit service contracts and warranty contracts.
• Record purchases and dealer trades.
• Process lien payoffs and cash receipts.
• Handle vendor invoices and regional check runs.
• Reconcile FTC and accounting for manufacturer monies.
• Post to intercompany accounts and manage other duties.

You will report to the Business Manager and work with other accountants in an on-site office environment.

Location: 2285 Route 22 West Union, NJ 07083

Target Hiring Range: $20.00-25.00

What You’ll Do

• Submission of Service Contracts
• Submission of Warranty Contracts
• New car purchases and Dealer trades
• Record used car purchases
• Request and process lien payoffs
• Process cash receipts
• Regional check runs
• Process and payment of vendor invoices
• FTC reconciliation
• Accounting for manufacturer monies (parts, warranty, incentives, misc)
• Post to Intercompany accounts
• Other responsibilities as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ year Accounting experience- familiar with COA, debits and credits
• Entry to mid-level Microsoft Excel
• High School Diploma (required)
• 1+ years of Auto Industry Experience
• Retail Sales or Customer Service

Total Rewards

At Lithia & Driveway, we believe in pay transparency. The full salary range for this position is $35,000-55,000 annually. The anticipated starting pay for this role is $21.00-24.00 an hour, based on factors such as skills, experience, and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined through the interview process and in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
