Job summary

Lithia & Driveway is hiring a Dealership Accountant I to support our Sterling, VA dealership operations in an on-site office environment. The role focuses on accurate processing of contracts, cash receipts, and vendor invoices within the dealership accounting function.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year accounting experience, basic COA knowledge, and familiarity with Excel. Automotive industry exposure is a plus, with growth opportunities across Lithia & Driveway’s network.

• >Entry to mid-level Microsoft Excel

• >1+ years of Auto Industry Experience Retail Sales or Customer Service

Responsibilities

• Submission of Service Contracts
• Submission of Warranty Contracts
• New car purchases and Dealer trades
• Record used car purchases
• Request and process lien payoffs
• Process cash receipts
• Regional check runs
• Process and payment of vendor invoices
• FTC reconciliation
• Accounting for manufacturer monies (parts, warranty, incentives, misc)
• Post to Intercompany accounts
• Other responsibilities as assigned
