Lithia Motors’ Sterling BMW Dealership is seeking an Accountant I to support accounting processes on-site in Sterling, VA. You will handle service and warranty contract submissions, dealer trades and various vehicle purchases, with a focus on accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role requires 1+ year of accounting experience, basic COA knowledge, and at least a HS diploma. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered as part of Lithia's Total Rewards.

• Entry to mid-level Microsoft Excel.
• High School Diploma (required).
• 1+ years of Auto Industry Experience Retail Sales or Customer Service.

• Submission of Warranty Contracts
• New car purchases and Dealer trades
• Record used car purchases
• Request and process lien payoffs
• Process cash receipts
• Regional check runs
• Process and payment of vendor invoices
• FTC reconciliation
• Accounting for manufacturer monies (parts, warranty, incentives, and misc)
• Post to Intercompany accounts
• Other responsibilities as assigned

The full compensation range for this position is $16.85-26.45, reflecting the earning potential and growth opportunities available within the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Final pay decisions are made through the interview process and in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
