Job summary

Bally's Baton Rouge is hiring a dealer to provide top-notch guest service while handling blackjack and related games. You will engage guests, explain game rules, and ensure accurate monetary handling at the table.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and a professional presence. You must be 21+, able to obtain a Louisiana Gaming Permit, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Louisiana Gaming Permit.
• Gaming industry experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
• Deal the game and monitor the monies of the table at all times.
• Control gaming cards and equipment.
• Use table, shoe, and paddle correctly.
• Monitor guest play for cheating scams and suspicious variations in play.
• Pay winnings or collect losing bets as established by the rules and procedures of a specific game.
• Answer questions about game rules and casino policies.
• Complete all government reporting.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
• Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit discretion to involve supervisory personnel as needed.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be proficient in dealing Blackjack and all novelty games offered.
• Deal the game and monitor the monies of the table at all times.
• Control gaming cards and equipment.
• Use table, shoe, and paddle correctly.
• Monitor guest play for cheating scams and suspicious variations in play.
• Pay winnings or collect losing bets as established by the rules and procedures of a specific game.
• Answer questions about game rules and casino policies.
• Complete all government reporting.
• Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
• Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
• Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

Target Compensation Range

$5.50 - 8.25 USD
