Job summary

WORK Inc. seeks a dedicated Director of Residential Services (Deaf Services) to lead programs serving Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals across the Boston South Shore Area.

The role oversees 21 residential clients and 6 independent living clients, ensuring culturally accessible, person-centered services promoting independence and inclusion. The position requires strong leadership, ASL proficiency, and a deep commitment to Deaf culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field or Bachelor’s degree with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory background.
• ASL proficiency strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals.
• Knowledge of Deaf culture and culturally responsive services.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to house managers and program staff.
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff with emphasis on ASL communication.
• Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans and compliance with DDS, CARF, and agency standards.
• Manage program operations, budgets, and facilities.
• Collaborate with clinical and health teams to support holistic care.
• Serve as liaison with families, guardians, and community partners.
• Provide on-call leadership and emergency coordination.
