Job summary

California State University, Fullerton seeks a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Coordinator to coordinate communication access, accommodations, and support services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and have a qualified disability.

You will advise students on classroom accommodations, collaborate with faculty, and coordinate providers to ensure accessible materials and media across courses and campus activities. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field.
• A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication access, accommodations, and support services for CSUF students who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing and have a qualified disability.
• Advise students regarding classroom accommodations related to service providers and communication access technology and consult with faculty to coordinate the placement of service providers and ensure course materials and media are accessible.
• Collaborate with campus partners to facilitate outreach efforts, support disability awareness initiatives, and coordinate DSS-sponsored events.
• Coordinate furniture accommodations to support access needs.
