Job summary

SanMar Distribution Center in Avondale, AZ seeks a DC Supervisor to lead receiving, storage, order fulfillment and shipping operations. You will guide hourly staff, hire new team members, and partner with other departments to optimize productivity.

The role requires inventory control experience, 4–6 years in warehousing, and 1–3 years in supervision. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; the schedule is flexible with the stated shift.

Qualifications

• Must have Inventory Control Experience.
• Must be flexible with work schedule.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• 4-6 years of warehouse experience.
• 1-3 years in a lead or supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate daily activities to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and knowledge goals.
• Oversee distribution centre operations to ensure accurate and timely processing and delivery of products.
• Provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff including coaching and corrective actions.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals and ongoing feedback.
• Interview and hire new employees.
• Collaborate across departments to drive optimal productivity.
• Analyze business trends and metrics to develop solutions and policies.
• Foster a diverse, respectful work environment.
• Respond to employee needs with professionalism and equity.
• Manage difficult employee situations professionally.
