SanMar is seeking a Distribution Center Shift Manager in Avondale, AZ. The role focuses on strategic execution for the shift, overseeing daily and weekly operations including receiving, storage, and shipping; and hiring, managing, and motivating DC staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating processes to maximize customer experience, monitoring movement of product and labor planning, and conducting performance reviews while driving cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
• 1-3 years Supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong conflict management skills
• Ability to manage difficult employee situations in a professional manner
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maximizing customer experience through the coordination of processes and operations across the DC.
• Monitors the quality, quantity, and efficiency of the movement of product, including labor planning and balancing.
• Monitors the shipping from the DC, to ensure the products are distributed to the proper transportation channels in an accurate and timely manner.
• Conducts annual performance reviews and provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), ensure effective collaboration across all functions.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of operations.
