Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises is seeking a Shipping Manager for our Grand Prairie Distribution Center. The role leads a team of hourly associates on a 3rd shift starting at 9 PM, with oversight arriving about an hour early.

You will plan workloads, manage shipping/receiving, and drive safety and quality initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of management in supply chain distribution, familiarity with WMS/LMS, and knowledge of OSHA/DOT regs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years hands-on warehouse experience.
• 2–5 years’ management experience in supply chain distribution.
• WMS and LMS experience preferred.
• Proficient with OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Experience with LEAN, KAIZEN and Agile methodologies.

Job Posting Details

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Shipping Manager in our Grand Prairie Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you! This position coordinates a team of hourly associates working a 3rd shift schedule beginning at 9 PM. Shipping Manager is expected to arrive roughly 1 hour prior to beginning of shift.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation with the leadership and development of associates Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner Lead all aspects of shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading operations Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner Run DCs quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies. Balance workload planning to reach budget and production goals Lead all aspects of inventory control in our warehouse and overall quality program to meet daily levels of service and perfect order metrics Champion employee engagement through coaching and development programs, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment while enhancing individual skills and career growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years hands-on warehouse experience preferred 2-5 years’ management experience in supply chain distribution WMS and LMS experience strongly preferred Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations Project management experience desired (LEAN, KAIZEN, Agile) Previous experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring and development initiatives Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required At Ferguson, we care for each other.

Pay

• - Pay Range: - $4,124.70 - $9,075.00
• - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
• - The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
