Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Shipping Manager for the Grand Prairie Distribution Center on a 3rd shift beginning at 9 PM. You will lead hourly associates, oversee shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will drive workload planning, inventory control and quality initiatives to meet delivery timelines and perfect order metrics, while coaching staff for growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years hands-on warehouse experience.
• WMS/LMS experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Project management experience (LEAN, KAIZEN, Agile).
• Experience implementing employee engagement and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation with leadership and development of associates.
• Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner.
• Lead all aspects of shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading operations.
• Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner.
• Run DCs quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies.
• Balance workload planning to reach budget and production goals.
• Lead all aspects of inventory control in our warehouse and overall quality program to meet daily levels of service and perfect order metrics.
• Champion employee engagement through coaching and development programs, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment while enhancing individual skills and career growth.

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Shipping Manager in our Grand Prairie Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you!

This position coordinates a team of hourly associates working a 3rd shift schedule beginning at 9 PM. Shipping Manager is expected to arrive roughly 1 hour prior to beginning of shift.

• 2-5 years’ management experience in supply chain distribution
• WMS and LMS experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations
• Project management experience desired (LEAN, KAIZEN, Agile)
• Previous experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring and development initiatives
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required

Pay Range

$4,124.70 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
