Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Tampa, FL is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead the outbound team, ensure efficient pulling, packing and loading, and uphold safety standards. You will design and implement processes for yard and trailer operations while fostering engagement and problem-solving among teammates.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining equipment and safety protocols, and driving cost-saving improvements.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years’ distribution center experience.
Ability to follow safety requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Forklift and pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

Lead outbound operations, supervise staff and troubleshoot as needed.
Design and maintain organization of yard operations, ensure efficient trailer loading and safety.
Drive adherence to safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
Monitor budget and enforce cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Supervise warehouse associates, promote engagement and empowerment.
Investigate and resolve shipping errors with the team to prevent recurrence.
Schedule team hours to cover peak periods and maintain efficiency.
Protect assets; ensure proper receipts and secure facilities.
