Job summary

Guitar Center Stores, Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily distribution center activities, balancing direct supervision with hands-on work to ensure team performance, efficiency and safety across inbound, outbound and inventory flows.

The role plans workflows, supervises staffing, trains and evaluates staff, moves goods with forklifts and pallet jacks, and standardizes procedures to boost efficiency within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor's preferred in business, logistics, or supply chain.
• Minimum 4 years warehouse/distribution center experience, with at least 2 years in lead/supervisory role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of PKMS or related warehouse management systems; proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
• Guitar Center certification to operate powered equipment within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates the workflow of the assigned department(s) to meet production, quality and safety standards.
• Performs tasks alongside team members during peak workload to maintain production flow.
• Operates material handling equipment to move, load, or unload products as needed.
• Responsible for training, developing, motivating, monitoring, and evaluating performance of team members.
• Evaluates and standardizes procedures to improve department efficiency.
• Additional duties as assigned.
