Job summary

The Guitar Center Company in Brownsburg, IN seeks an M&A Supervisor, Distribution Center Operations to plan, organize and coordinate DC activities, providing day-to-day supervision and coaching to ensure production, quality, safety and store service goals are met.

This role emphasizes leading workflow, training staff, maintaining productivity standards, and upholding safety programs in a warehouse environment. Strong leadership and knowledge of warehouse systems are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; BA/BS degree preferred.
• Previous distribution center/warehouse experience required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a distribution or production setting is required.
• A working knowledge of DAX Warehouse Management System is preferred.
• Must be certified, or have the aptitude to be certified, to run all powered equipment.
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates workflow of the inbound or outbound departments.
• Trains, motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of team members.
• Monitors and ensure productivity and accuracy standards are maintained throughout their appropriate department.
• Issues written and oral instructions to personnel to ensure conformance to policies and procedures.
• Develop team leaders to effectively oversee the daily job tasks of their assigned associates.
• Examines and standardizes procedures to improve efficiencies of workers.
• Reviews and ensures all paperwork and daily assignments are completed in allotted time frame.
• Maintains an appropriate staffing level within their area to accomplish the Distribution Centers goals.
• Work effectively and communicate and relate well with others.
• Uphold safety and accident prevention programs to ensure a safe work environment.
• Preserve a union free work environment by demonstrating care and concern for associates.
