Job summary

The Home Depot in Perth Amboy, NJ is seeking an DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and influence the distribution center to run efficiently, safely, and productively. You will hire, evaluate, develop, discipline and terminate hourly associates, and ensure accurate merchandise handling.

You will also oversee training and coaching, drive safety, quality and inventory control, and coordinate staffing to meet business needs. This is a hands-on leadership role with 20-30 direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is advantageous; high school diploma accepted with experience.
• Must be eighteen years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an hourly team to run distribution center operations efficiently.
• Hire, evaluate, develop, discipline and terminate hourly associates as needed.
• Ensure accurate handling of merchandise and drive productivity, safety and quality.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and control; analyze reports to improve metrics.
• Plan staffing and coordinate operations to meet business goals.
